Monitoring the proportions of first-time test takers who passed the nursing licensure exam from 2020 to 2024, Texas State University (TSU) has been remarkable, achieving a perfect success rate each year. In 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, TSU presented 99, 87, 87, 76, and 89 students, respectively, all of whom passed the exam.
While it’s arguable that exam scores alone may not fully reflect the quality of a nursing program, such consistent results suggest that something exceptional is happening at TSU.
